What is an IFC audit?

An IFC audit checks the entities, properties, units, classifications and deliverables of a BIM model to identify discrepancies before coordination, handover or operations. The expected result is a prioritised issue list that owners can understand and project teams can act on.

How much does a BIM quality check cost?

The Express format starts at CHF 890 for a focused first review. A full project audit is generally between CHF 2,500 and CHF 6,500 depending on the number of models, IDS requirements, classification level and expected deliverables.

What is the difference between eCCC-Bât and CFC?

eCCC-Bât classifies costs by construction element, while CFC organises them by type of work. In an IFC model, the challenge is to carry these codes in a structured, stable and verifiable way to avoid manual rework at the end of the project.

How long does an IFC Express Audit take?

The schedule is defined after reviewing the file, project context and check scope. The proposal states the planned deadline and deliverables before work starts.

Why check IDS compliance?

An IDS specification makes requirements machine-readable. It can verify that objects contain the expected properties in the right place and format. This reduces late interpretation and makes corrections easier to prioritise.
